The weekend in pictures...

I had a wonderful birthday dinner at Firebirds!! :) Yummmm!

I had to have a special birthday drink ofcourse!

 We got new furniture  for our living room, so I had to make some new cupcake art that matched the room ofcourse! Yes, cupcakes don't really go in the "Living Room"  It's a better item to put in the kitchen, but it's in the living room for now! I have been loving my cupcake punch, LOL...

 And last but not least I made some sugar cookies.....Let me expand on this. So we bought a bucket of cookies from one of the neighbors. Generally you just buy the bucket, scoop out the mix and that is it...This bucket was different, I had to put eggs anf butter in it....and ofcourse, the butter at the house had expired in JANUARY! LOL, so it turned into more of a project than I had hoped. They taste pretty good though. I put them in a new "Crate and Barrel" jar I just bought.  It was decorated with a Say It on the Wall Decal, isn't it cute, I love her vinyl decals! :)  All in all, I had a nice weekend! :)

Friday Confessional...

I confess:
I buy Starburst jellybeans, and then I will pick through them for all the pinks, they are the only ones I want...so basically I buy the bag for just the pink jellybeans....Same thing with actual Starbursts.

I confess:
I am super excited my birthday is today!! Don't have anything really exciting going on, I just like days that revolve around MEEEEEE, just kidding...no I'm not.

I confess:
I think I want a blog makeover, I need to do something unique, but affordable. Anyone have any good suggestions??

I confess:
I fully take advantage of my birthday, If I can get something, I will always try... I will say "but it's my birthday" after everything in an attempt to persuade. Reasonable requests though, I am not too bad about it.

I confess:
You ever over tweeze your eyebrows to where they are uneven (on accident of course) I think I may have....

I confess:
I painted my nails yesterday, I don't think I had done that in about a year....fake nails for the wedding don't count.

I confess: I still will not go outside by myself after watching a scary movie. I don't care how old I am.

These 2 DIY projects, they are the next projects on my to-do list!!

First one I saw over at Tatertots and Jello, and it was featuring a project done by a Ms. Michaela from Michaela Noelle Designs (who also has a great blog as well) I bought the cork boards, still need to find the perfect fabric though before I start mine. These are pics of the boards Michaela made, aren't they pretty?!










Next project looks super easy, and I really like the look of it. I saw this over at a Little Bit Funky.











I want to find a cute Moroccan Trellis print fabric to try and make this with. Haven't found it yet but I will.....

Butterfly Collage Art

I have seen a lot of collage art using butterflies, so I tried to make my own this weekend....This was the end result. Not too bad, I still like my cupcake one more, but they all end up looking cute. Just wanted to share with everyone!

The simple things...

After my grandfather passed, we took a trip down to his house...I took this picture while I was out standing on the deck, knowing that it was a view I wouldn't be likely to see again. Eventually I want to frame and mat this photo. This photo reminds me of every visit I made to see my grandparents growing up. It's a simple, yet wonderful memory, and I am glad I captured it.

Friday Confessional...

I confess:
Somehow I bruised my arm the other day, if you look at it closely, kind of looks like a hickey...But it's not...that would be pretty weird, right by my elbow, yep...

I was a little jealous when Scott told me he was taking the day off today. Then he told me he would be working in the yard all day. I am not jealous anymore.

I am still way too obsessed with my iPad. I've had it since Christmas. Thought the newness would wear off. It hasn't. Still obsessed.

When my hubby puts home decorations out that I am not a fan of, I will hide them in different spots, and then not say a word, well, until he finds them.

That all my pants are getting tight and because of that I will I be starting weight watchers, again, for the thousandth time since the 1st of Jan. I just can't figure out how to keep myself motivated. The wedding did it before, I need something new that I will take seriously!! (if you can't tell, this is a sarcastic "I'm loving" comment...)

The simple things...

While walking with my friend Shahanna this morning, I just had to snap this photo. I love it. My pup Roxy, the tiny one to the left, walking with Gander (Shahanna's dog). Roxy is always trying to stay up with Gander, or race just to stay at the same pace, I thinks it's adorable, simple as it is. I have been staying up to date with others as they link up to the blog "Simple as that" and I thought I would join in with the others this week!

Friday Confessional...

I confess:
In the last week I have caught myself dancing in the work bathroom TWICE as I was washing my hands (we have an overhead radio in the office) It's fine, the door was closed, obviously, LOL.

I confess:
When I go running, I like to take my pup with me. It's good for her to get exercise. Added bonus, when she has to take a potty break, I get to take a walking break! Yay for me!

I confess:
I am super excited we are getting a Dollar General in my little town!! Hey it's a small little area. We just got a CVS and a Walmart is coming now, excited!!! Moving up!

I confess:
I confessed this on facebook a while back, but I forgot to mention here... I was "THIS" close to using my tide to go pen as lip gloss a few weeks ago...yucko!

I confess:
Okay, so I was walking with the girls at this natural park down the street, and saw a beautiful bird perched on a dock over by the water. I just had to take a pic of it on my phone. Thought I had got SUCH a great photo, until 3 miles later I walked by the SAME area and that beautiful bird hadn't moved. I went closer and realized the bird I took such a great photo of was actually a picture of a PLASTIC bird. I just thought I had some wonderful photography skills, ummmm, no.

Yesterday when the lady at Chick-fil-A asked me what condiments I wanted with my fries, I told her in so many words that "I would like fries with my fries" Yep, I definitely said that...

Mamarazzi's Favorite Things Swap!

Mamarazzi granted me "special permission" to participate in one of her swaps that she has on her blog, and I am really looking forward to it!! This swap will be taking place on April 1st-2nd, and who doesn't like the idea of getting a package filled with presents?! I love buying things for others too, (what?!, I do!) so I should really enjoy this! I discovered that Mamarazzi and myself share a birthday too (Apr. 1) so we will be getting packages, and it will be our birthdays!! Even better!!
