I AM ENGAGED!!

Last night Scott asked me to marry him!!! I super didn't expect that last night, I expected it, just not then, haha. I seriously sat there for about 10 minutes asking him if he was for real. Then I accepted that he was really asking me!! :):) Don't have a date or anything...but we are engaged and I am super excited!! :)

I finished my upstairs bathroom! :)

I finished the bathroom upstairs (the one I primarily use, because it is the only one with a bath tub, haha) I decorated it with Amy Butler's Duck Egg Fabric. I am really liking the way it turned out! :) You can see the matching shower curtain in the mirror. Don't you love it!! :) It is very girly, haha, isn't it? But I just had to :):)

Not too much is new...glad Monday has come and gone... I can't believe it is midway through August already! Anyways, hope everyone has a great Tuesday! :)

Camping trip this past weekend

Scott, Brian, Shahanna and I went camping this past weekend in a local state park. It was fun, I hadn't been camping in a very long time!! :):) I am not usually the camping kind of girl but it was a lot of fun! :) It's Monday again. Next weekend we are having another yard sale, the last one was a hit, so we wanted to have another one.

Not too much else is new. Just hoping the week will fly by! :)

Good Morning Everyone!

Hope everyone had a good Monday. I am glad it went by quick. One of my hubcaps fell of one of my tires sometime over the weekend, so I spent yesterday after work getting a new one, but now I am happy, haha....

Not too much else has been new....just staying busy. It has been super hot outside the last few days, so I am trying to stay indoors!

I decorated some tins up above a week or two ago. I think they are cute. You can use them to hold anything small, candies, little favors, rings, etc... Ofcourse I used Amy Butler's Duck Egg Fabric. (My upstairs bathroom has this same theme) They discontinued this pattern, so I am trying to use it as much as I can.

Happy Friday!! :)

Hope everyone has a great Friday! I am glad it is finally here. I have nothing to do this weekend, and I am looking forward to it!! :):) It will give Scott and me a chance to catch up on things around the house. We also are going to buy a new tent this weekend too, hopefully we can get a lot of use out of it, I haven't camped out in a while, haha. I am thinking we might get the tent I show here, but I am not sure....it's from Gander Mountain.

Lindsey's Wedding

This past weekend Scott and I went to CT to attend a friend of mine's wedding. It was very pretty. Here are a few pics... It was a beautiful wedding!! :):) The weekend went by super quick. This weekend I look forward to doing a bunch of nothing. The following weekend we are going camping, I am excited about this, being that I haven't been camping in a very long time!! Today is my Friday!! :)

Yep, today is my Friday, I am going to a friend's wedding in CT, so I am taking off with Scott so wwe can drive up there. I am excited to see Linds get married, and to see CT for the first time.

Also, it gives me a nice long car trip to figure out this new blackberry I got yesterday. I can't figure half the stuff on the blackberry out, I can call people, thats good, right? haha....

My bathroom is well on it's way....

I have been redecorating the upstairs bathroom, and I now have the shower curtain up. When I finish getting everything, it should look very cute. I am hoping I don't get carried away, I tend to do that, haha....

So we had the yard sale on Saturday. It was nice and sunny, and we all made out pretty well. I think we are going to try and have another one in September. We actually noticed a few thiefs had come by too, isn't that crazy, that desperate to want to try and steal from a yard sale. If they need it that bad....geeez

Also, Scott, Matthew, Shahanna, Brian and me tried a new resteraunt called Busters the other night. It was super yummy! :) It is a new resteraunt, right outside of King George in an area called Port Royal. I got crabcakes, no fillers either, it was really good! Then we stopped by this gsa station called Hornes. They have candy cigarettes that I love getting, haha.

Good Morning everyone! :) Back to the work week. Had a very productive weekend though. Scott and I got a new grill! YAY! :)

Oh, and next Saturday, a group of us girls are having a yard sale, hopefully it will bring in a little extra cash.

It's Friday!!

I am soooo glad the weekend is almost here! I need a nice relaxing weekend doing NOTHING!

Okay, so Monday's dress, didn't work too well

So this is the new dress I am going to try... I hope it works a little better, the other dress gathered in the middle, and I think that is what bothered me, so I am going to give this one a shot. Wish me luck! :)

I realized that I need to get new tires put on my car here soon...not looking forward to that ($Money$)

So I made Roxy another grooming appointment for mid August. Her Yorkie hairs are growing out again, so I want to get her groomed.

Apron

I love this apron!! It is sooo cute, I saw it on etsy, and just thought it would be cute to buy (that is, if I cooked more, haha) I can't remember the last time I actually wore an apron though. This apron was made my sassyapron on etsy.

Handpainted Magnet

I had this magnet made of Roxy when she was a puppy, the person (judycootie) handpainted this from a photo I provided her with. I think the magnet ended up great! :)

One of my etsy friend's (platinumdesigns) used a picture of Scott and I as a prop for one of her save the date's she is selling on her etsy page. We are not engaged yet, but I told her she could use our photo as a prop, is that bad luck?? I think the example ended up great though!

New dress

One of my friends is getting married on August 1st, and I just got this dress from Ann Taylor Loft to wear to it. What do you think? I keep on going back and forth about it. I think I may buy a tie around cardigan like thing to cover my big shoulders, that may make me feel better. I still have to find shoes too!

I made these months ago, and was going to start listing them on my etsy page (My grandmas old recipe that she used to make every Christmas) They are soooooo good! So as I was saying, I wanted to list them for sale on Etsy, but then the whole peanut butter scare came along, and I didn't want to risk sending them out and having someone get sick, so I ate them, haha...and took them to work and shared them ofcourse. A batch of Buckeyes makes a whole lot of candy!! :):) One of my favorite things!! :):) Don't they look yummy! Anyways, today is my Friday!! Super excited about that....and fireworks this weekend, we will probably go down to a local Beach on the Potomac River to watch them....and then Scott and I will go buy some to shoot off in the backyard ofcourse! :):) Looking forward to the long weekend! New bathroom ideas

My first step is going to be a shower curtain. I think I want to use this fabric to the right, what do you think??

It has a lot of pinks and I like that about it....And Scott has his bathroom, I want to do this one my way, hehe :):)

Then I want to do towels, trashcan, etc... :):)

Any tips, advice? Someone who can make this for me, semi-affordably?

One of my fav items that I purchase off etsy

I am going to try something different today. Instead of posting items I have made I am going to post some items of some things I have bought for myself, that I absolutely love. Pillow Boxes!

New pillow boxes I just made yesterday. They are 3 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches. Great for little favors for any party, or even for a wedding. They can hold small gifts too! :) This example uses Amy Butler designed paper (one of my favorite designers).
